A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy if you’ve got a shared website hosting with us. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared web hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you have created displayed alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately notify you if a specific mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. In case there’s activated email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will get a warning text message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.
